Danielle Duran Baron is the founder of Insightful Concepts, a strategic consultancy working with clients to build solid brands and create truly inclusive work environments, maximizing organizational impact and efficiency. With a focus on culture and customer experience, Insightful Concepts partners with companies to advance their missions, motivate their teams and engage with their stakeholders through storytelling, open communication, empathy and inclusion.
Danielle decided to start Insightful Concepts after a visit to the Van Gogh Museum, in Amsterdam. She was inspired by the fully immersive and authentic nature of the experience she had that day. From the breathtaking works of art to the striking building structure, everything in the space radiates art and beauty, and nothing is left to chance. What if organizations used the same approach when designing their own cultures? What if everything exuded a cohesive brand and contributed to truly memorable customer experiences? What if every staff member or volunteer felt comfortable to make a meaningful contribution and affect change?
We believe it is not only desirable but achievable. Bringing 20 years of global experience in business strategy, communications, branding, marketing and events, Danielle has worked in the nonprofit, private and government sectors, leading organizations through complex and highly-visible projects. Through her experience with organizations in the United States, Latin America and Europe, Danielle offers a global perspective to her clients, delivering results that are impactful and long-lasting.
Before starting Insightful Concepts, Danielle was the Executive Director at the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE) and the Chief Marketing Officer at ABET, the global accreditor for university programs in the STEM disciplines. She led both organizations through their award-winning rebranding initiatives. Earlier in her career, she worked in the private, government and nonprofit sectors, helping organizations tell their stories, build partnerships and connect with their audiences more effectively.
Danielle has a bachelor’s degree in communications and international relations from Randolph-Macon Woman’s College, a master’s degree in journalism from New York University and an executive MBA in marketing from Ibmec Business School, in Rio de Janeiro. A native of Brazil, she is fluent in English, Portuguese and Spanish and conversant in French and German. She’s a Certified Association Executive (CAE) and member of the 2016-2018 Diversity Executive Leadership Program (DELP). Danielle is currently serving on ASAE’s Government Relations and Advocacy Professionals Advisory Council. She is also a board member of the Association for Women in Events (AWE).
